Progressive radio loses one: Mario out at 760 AM

Mario Solis-Marich, the 4-7 p.m. talker on Clear Channel’s 760 AM since February 2008, has been disappeared. His last show was on Nov. 30. A spokeswoman said his contract was not renewed.

Solis-Marich, formerly a political consultant, was hailed by both the progressive and Latino radio audiences locally.

His slot has been taken by Norman Goldman (that’s Norm “man” Goldman on the air), a legal analyst for MSNBC and others.

What is it about progressive radio that it doesn’t have the force (bombast?) of conservative talk radio? Thoughts?
