The documentary “Saving Philanthropy,” airing tonight at 9 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS (which is feeding the film to public TV stations nationwide), profiles a number of groups that are achieving impressive outcomes for their good work.
Among those profiled: Denver-based Nurse-Family Partnership, which serves low-income, first-time parents nationally. In Colorado, the group operates in 50 out of 64 counties.
Filmmakers Kate and Robby Robinson focus on social service organizations that have gained national attention. Turns out forward-thinking funders make all the difference.
